ALP chief for Zherai district killed

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Afghan Local Police (ALP ) chief for the Zherai district of southern Kandahar province has been killed in an attack, a well-placed security source said on Sunday.

Commander Shamsullah Achakzai was killed by someone who also served in police, the source said.

It is worth mentioning that Commander Achakzai played vital role in the security of Zherai district.

Government officials did not provide detail in this regard.
