KABUL (Pajhwok): The deputy governor of Kabul and his secretary were killed and two of his bodyguards wounded in a blast in the 9th police district of the capital city on Tuesday morning.
Tariq Aryan, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, said the blast took place at round 9:40am in front of Onyx Plaza on the Bibi Mahro road.
He said, Deputy Governor Mahboobullah Mohibi was accompanied by his secretary and two guards when his vehicle struck a roadside bomb.
Aryan added the blast resulted in the killing of Mohibi and his secretary. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
