KABUL (Pajhwok): High Council for National Reconciliation chairman Abdullah Abdullah on Monday left for Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, for talks with Tajik leaders on the Afghan peace process and bilateral relations.
A statement from the HNRC said during his trip, Dr. Abdullah will meet Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon, Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda, lower house of Parliament speaker Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda and Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin to discuss and exchange views about Afghan Peace process, challenges and peace opportunities.
Earlier Dr. Abdullah had visited Pakistan, Iran, India, Uzbekistan and Turkey and met their leaders to attract their support for the Afghan peace process.
Dr. Abdullah is visiting Tajikistan at the official invitation of the country’s president.
