CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): A highway unit commander and four other security personnel were killed in a roadside bombing in the capital of northern Parwan province.

Mohammad Sadeq Hashimi, the Parwan crime branch chief, said the incident occurred around 10pm on Sunday night in the Abdi Bai area of the province.

He said the Parwan highway unit chief and four other security personnel were killed in the explosion.

No one has so far claimed responsibility for the roadside bombing.
