KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): A landmine explosion wounded eight civilians in the capital of southeastern Khost province on Tuesday, police said.
The blast happened in Mujahid square of Khost city around 1 pm, said an official at the Khost Police headquarters’ media office.
He said eight civilians were injured in the blast and one of them was said to be in critical condition.
The explosion occurred in an area where government employees and civilians write application letters to government and non-governmental organizations.
A private hospital source told Pajhwok Afghan News three of the wounded had been brought to their hospital and they were in stable condition.
No one has claimed responsibility for the blast.
The blast took place a day after five people were killed and seven others injured in an explosion in Khost City.
