AIBAK (Pajhwok): A Samangan resident has donated a three-storey building in Deh Basoh Zamin area of the capital of northwestern province for a religious school.
The man says through this donation he seeks Allah’s pleasure and salvation. He characterised the gesture as a way of promoting peace in Afghanistan.
Maulvi Safiullah Siraji, director hajj and religious affairs, told Pajhwok Afghan News the building belonged to Haji Allah Murad Baba, a resident of the Ayencha village of Aibak district.
He said the building, which the donator used as his residence, comprised of 18 rooms. It is located in Aibak, the provincial capital.
Maulvi Jan Mohammad Haqqani, who has been appointed as administrator of the seminary, thanked Haji Murad for his generous gesture and named the madrassa after him.
He added the religious school would provide free Hifz-ul-Quran and Islamic teachings.
Haji Murad said he had donated his residence for the sake of Allah’s pleasure. He prayed to Allah to bless the sick with good health and bring peace to the country.
