KABUL (Pajhwok): Two suspects have been detained in connection with the killing of Freshta Kohistani and her brother in central Kapisa province, the Ministry of Interior said on Sunday.
On Thursday, unidentified gunmen shot dead civil society activist Freshta Kohistani along with her brother Shahram in the Hisa-i-Awal district of Kapisa.
Tariq Aryan, spokesman for MoI, said two suspects had been arrested in connection with the killing of the activist.
He said the detainees were currently being interrogated. There has been no claim of responsibility for the killing so far.
Target killings and explosions have drastically increased in Kabul in recent weeks.
