KABUL (Pajhwok): Police on Tuesday arrested three burglars a day after they broke into an apartment in Qasaba area of central Kabul and stole two mobile phones and gold worth 1.5 million afghanis.
The Kabul police headquarters in a statement said the burglary took place yesterday in 12th block of Qasabah area in limits of 15th police district of Kabul city.
The burglars fled the area after committing the crime, but police after a search identified their whereabouts and captured them along with the jewelry in the same area.
The Kabul police said the suspects had confessed to their crime and were currently being held in custody.
The incident happens amid growing concerns among Kabul residents about increasing criminal activities and targeted killings in the city.
