MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): Five people were killed and nine others were wounded including the provincial Ulema Council head in a car bomb blast in central Kapisa province on Sunday.
Abdul ShayiqShurash, police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the dead included three religious scholars and two others.
He said MirwaisKarim, head of the KapisaUlema Council, was among the nine people injured in the car bomb attack in Sayad market in the provincial capital, Mahmood Raqi.
Meanwhile, FerishtahKohistani, a civil society and human rights activist, and her brother were killed in an attack in Kapisa.
