Ghani in Nangarhar to meet local officials

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani arrived in eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday morning.

The president is expected to hold separate meetings with the governor, military officers, security officials, residents and civil society activists.

A statement from the governor’s office said at least 45 schools would be put into service in the presence of President Ghani.

Accompanied by Vice-President Amrullah Saleh, National Security Advisor Hamdullah Mohib, cabinet members and lawmakers, Ghani will also visit a citrus exhibition in Jalalabad.
