KABUL (Pajhwok): A sticky bomb affixed to a police vehicle went off in central Kabul on Tuesday but caused no casualties, police said.
Firdous Faramarz, Kabul police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion happened at around 1:15 pm near Stanikzai Township in the limits of eighth Kabul police district.
“The vehicle was partially damaged; the blast resulted in no human casualties,” the spokesman added.
Bawar Khan, an eyewitness, said police cordoned off the area after the blast in front of Imam Azam Mosque in RahmanMaina area.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident, the latest in a serious of IED explosions on armed forces’ vehicles and targeted assassinations of journalists and civil rights’ activists.
