23 people arrested on various charges in Kabul

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 23 people have been arrested in connection with various charges in central of Kabul province, an official said on Thursday.

In a statement, Ministry of Interior (MOI) said, these individuals were identified and arrested Kabul police during raid in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 17th, 18th, 19th and Farzah police districts of Kabul province.

The source added that the detainees were involved in armed robberies, murder, targeted assassinations, possession of illegal weapons, death threats and drug trafficking.

The Ministry of Interior said Police recovered eight pistols and five cellphones from the suspects.

It occurs while Kabul residents are concerned of growing IED explosions and targeted assassinations in the Capital city.
