Qatar denounces killing of female judges

KABUL (Pajhwok): Doha has vehemently denounced the killing of two female Supreme Court judges in Kabul.

Qatar also reiterated its “firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of the motives and reasons.

A statement from the foreign ministry in Doha said Qatari officials extended their condolences on to the families of the victims.

On Sunday morning, unidentified attackers gunned down the judges and wounded their driver. The judges were on their way to office.

Earlier, US Chargé d’Affaires Ross Wilson also condemned the killing of te female judges and called for a prompt investigation.

On his twitter account, Wilson wrote: “The United States condemns today’s assassinations of female supreme court judges and calls for a prompt investigation. My condolences to the families of the victims and wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured.”
