KABUL (Pajhwok): The US embassy in Kabul has asked Americans to avoid traveling to Afghanistan where blasts and targeted killings have recently spiked.
The embassy said in a statement on Monday that hotels, guesthouses, UN office and other places where foreigners lived and gathered were faced with massive threats.
The statement urged American citizens to avoid traveling to Afghanistan and those who were currently in the country must leave.
The statement emphasized over American citizens to travel only in case of need.
About three months ago, the embassy had said assassinations of journalists and rights activists had increased in Kabul and other provinces.
