Wall collapse leaves 3 children dead in Kabul

KABUL (Pajhwok): Three children were killed as a wall collapsed in the fifth police district of Kabul, an official said on Monday.

Police spokesman Firdos Faramarz told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when a wall being built by a construction firm collapsed.

“Unfortunately, three children, two boys and a girl, were killed as the wall collapsed,” the police spokesman said.

He added workers of the construction company escaped and police had launched a manhunt for them.

Samiullah, uncle of the victims, told Pajhwok Afghan News the wall collapse happened on Sunday afternoon. Two boys — aged ten and eight — and a four-year-old girl were killed in the incident.
