Biden lifts travel ban on Muslim countries

KABUL (Pajhwok): In an expected move, US President Joe Biden has lifted the travel ban imposed on some Muslim and African nations by his predecessor Donald Trump.
After his swearing-in ceremony, Biden arrived at the White House late on Wednesday, laying a wreath on the grave of an unknown soldier killed in Arlington.
He inked the orders that revoke Trump’s pandemic response, his environmental agenda and anti-immigration policies, according to Dawn.
Biden signed 17 executive orders, memorandums and proclamations from the Oval Office, including orders to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord and end the Muslim travel ban.
The 78-year-old Democrat is the oldest person ever to be elected as the American president, whose inauguration came days after the attack on the US Capitol.
Biden called Trump the ‘first’ racist US president. He also underlined a political settlement in Afghanistan.
