Ghani names Herat airport after Khwaja Ansari

KABUL (Pajhwok): At the head of high-level delegation, President Ashraf Ghani on Thursday travelled to western Herat province.

At an event in the western city, the president named the Herat International Airport after Khwaja Abdullah Ansari.

In a statement, the Presidential Palace, said Ghani had reached Herat to assess the overall governance situation in the province.

Ghani would hold separate meetings with civil, military officials, ulema, women, youth and members of the provincial council, civil society activists and businessmen, the source added.
