Syed Kamal Husseini, Refugee Director of Samangan province, at the inauguration of the aid distribution ceremony, said the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) had provided the cash aid amounting to 9.241 million afghanis and winter clothing for the displaced families. The International Organization of Migration (IOM) would implement the distribution process.

“The aid will be distributed among families who have taken refuge in Aibak, the provincial capital, after being uprooted by natural disasters and those who have returned from neighboring countries,” Husseini said.
