KABUL (Pajhwok): The Attorney General Office (AGO) says the Appellant Prosecutor Office of northeastern Badakhshan processed 806 criminal cases this solar year.

In a statement, the AGO said the Badakhshan APO scrutinized 806 cases this year, referring 385 cases to the primary court and reserving judgments in 97 cases due to lack of evidence.

The source added that 297 cases involving court rulings had been finalized and another 272 cases submitted to the department on which a legal decision would be made as soon as possible.

A fine of 4.52 milion afghanis was handed over to the government treasury as a result of investigation and enforcement of these cases. A number of vehicles and weapons have also been confiscated.
