KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): The deputy chairman of the Kunduz provincial council, was wounded in an explosion on in the northern city on Tuesday morning.
Safiullah Amiri and his bodyguard were wounded in the bomb attack in the provincial capital, a public representative confirmed.
Mohammad Yousuf Ayubi, the council head, Amiri had came under attack soon after leaving his residence for office.
He added: “Amiri and his bodyguard were evacuated to hospital for medical treatment. Ayubi would not comment on the condition of the injured.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack. Security officials are yet to comment on the blast.
