MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Security officials in northern Faryab province on Thursday claimed arresting two alleged Taliban insurgents clad in women outfit but the Taliban said the detainee was an abnormal person and someone making fun of him clad him in women clothes.
Col. Ensafullah Dawlatzai, first brigade commander of Shaheen Corps, said two Taliban men who were clad in women outfit were arrested. He said the detainees tried to kill security personnel with snipers they possessed.
He said investigation from the detainees was underway.
Another security personnel, wishing not to be named, confirmed two Taliban men clad in women outfit had been arrested near check-post No. 4 with weapons.
But the Taliban rejected that two of their armed colleagues clad in women outfit had been arrested. They said security forces had detained an abnormal person.
