Afghanistan coronavirus death toll reaches 2,400 mark: MoPH

KABUL (Pajhwok): Sixty-nine new coronavirus cases registered in the past 24 hours taking the total national tally of respiratory disease patients to 55,008, a statement from the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said on Friday.

According to the statement 26 people tested positive for coronavirus in Herat, 19 in Nangarhar, four each in Laghman and Khost, two each in Kabul, Kandahar, Balkh, Maidan Wardak and Uruzgan, one each in Paktia, Baghlan, Badakhshan, Kapesa and Sar-i-Pul provinces.

One person died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours taking the total death tally to 2,400 nation-wide.
