KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Foreign Minister Mirwais Nab and Pakistani Ambassador Mansour Ahmad Khan have discussed economic cooperation and the Afghan peace process.
Nab received khan for discussions on the peace process. Nab underlined the importance of achieving a comprehensive ceasefire and its impact on improving bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the ambassador assured Nab of Pakistan’s sincere support for sustainable peace in Afghanistan.
He said peace in Afghanistan was essential for stability in Pakistan and enhanced bilateral and regional economic cooperation.
Both sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation mechanisms, including the Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidary (APAPPS), revising The Afghanistan–Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement (APTTA) and ongoing trilateral cooperation among Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
