SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): A resident of northern Sar-i-Pul province claims his daughter and two grandchildren were shot injured by two Taliban gunmen riding a motorcycle.

MirAhmad, father of the wounded woman and resident of SayedAbad village, said his daughter and grandchildren were travelling in a vehicle from Sar-i-pul city to SayedAbad village when the two men opened fire at them.

He added the incident took place in Hawz-e-Haji Mohammad Omar area. The wounded were now in hospital. “We still do not understand, why the Taliban opened fire at us,” he added.

Nabila Habibi, women’s affairs director in Sar-i-Pul, said a 27 year old woman and two children aged seven and eight years were wounded in the incident.

The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
