KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Wednesday announced recording 57 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours in the country.
The ministry in a statement said 1, 729 people underwent tests since Saturday and the virus was detected in 57 people, pushing the overall tally to 55,231.
It said 19 cases were detected in Nangarhar, 11 in Kabul, 6 in Herat, 5 in Khost, 2 each in Kandahar, Balkh, Badghis, Laghman, Farah, one each in Takhar, Paktia, Nimroz, Kunduz, Badakhshan, and Helmand provinces.
