PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Pakistan has announced according approval to the release Rs549 million for two development projects in neighbouring Afghanistan.
The approval was given as part of the government’s Afghanistan Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Programme, according to a statement issued in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Out of the total grant, the government has approved the release of Rs61 million for the feasibility study for a new railway link from Peshawar to Jalalabad.
Another Rs488 million were approved for the construction of various health projects, including Jinnah Hospital in Kabul, Aminullah Khan Logari Hospital and Nishter Kidney Centre in Jalalabad.
