KABUL (Pajhwok): Efforts underway to resume direct flights from Ahmad Shah Baba International Airport in Kandahar City to Dubai and New Dehli, Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) said in a statement on Friday.

ACAA Head Mohammad Qasim Wafaeezada during a meeting with officials of the Aryana Afghan Airline (AAA) discussed the resumption of direct flights to Dubai and New Delhi, the statement said.

The AAA officials pledged to resume direct flights from Kandahar to Dubai when the resources are available.

This comes at a time when as a result of coronavirus pandemic flights to many countries including UAE and India had been suspended. The gradual resumption of flights had begun.
