KABUL (Pajhwok): US Special Representative for Afghanistan Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad has briefed US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Afghan peace process in the context of continuing policy review.
On his social media handler Khalilzad said “We discussed the focus on our conditions-based strategy, one that brings peace to Afghanistan, secures a stable future for its citizens, and prevents anyone from using Afghanistan to threaten the United States and our allies.”
He said: “Joining my meeting Secretary Blinken were Principal Deputy SRAR Ambassador Molly Phee and newly-appointed Deputy SRAR Tom West.”
“Tom joins a strong #SRAR team that has achieved much and remains focused on the end state. His experience across the region will help us as we work to achieve a lasting peace in #Afghanistan.
