AIBAK (Pajhwok): A number of civil society activists in northern Samangan province on Saturday called for reduction in violence in the country and asked the international community to push the Taliban to attend the second round of intra-Afghan talks in Doha.
The event, organised in Aibak, the provincial capital by the Office of Peace Studies for Women, was attended by more than 100 civil society activists, both boys and girls.
Attiqullah Zarifi, an activist said about the stalled peace negotiations in Qatar: “The Afghanistan issue concerns Afghans and should be resolved by them.”
