FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Taliban’s deputy intelligence chief for western Ghor province was killed and his companions injured during a clash with uprising forces in Tolak district, police said on Monday.
One policeman and one uprising member were wounded in the clash that erupted at about 12am last night and stretched into Monday afternoon, said Tolak district police chief Ghiyasuddin Afzali.
He said MullahNoorAhmad, deputy intelligence head of Taliban for Ghor who was a resident of Khakcha village was killed in the clash. Two other insurgents, one policeman and one uprising member were wounded in the clash in Sardara village.
But the Taliban denied the killing of their men in the clash.
The clash occurs after a month long lull in violence in Ghor province.
