PULI-ALAM (Pajhwok): Police have recovered 360 kilograms of raw hashish from a car in the capital of central Logar province, an official said on Thursday.
Police Chief Brig. Gen. FaizullahGhairat told reporters here that the drugs were confiscated during an operation in Abchakan area of Pul-i-Alam on Thursday.
Ghairat said police clashed with the smugglers who made their escape good and no one was arrested.
He said police in addition to enforcing the law would continue their fight against drug trafficking and other similar crimes.
He said Logar police had among other things had good progress in preventing drug trafficking.
Security officials say drugs from eastern Nangarhar and some other provinces are smuggled through Azra district into Logar and then transferred to other provinces.
