KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Destined for Tajikistan, the first Afghan transit goods consignment has arrived from Pakistan at the Ghulam Khan port in southeastern Khost province.
Local officials and traders say the transition of commercial goods from Afghanistan through Ghulam Khan Port to central Asian countries is an important step towards commercial development.
Civilian and military officials, the Paktia governor, lawmakers and traders attended a ceremony in this regard held at the Ghulam Khan Port.
The participants hoped the port would gradually turn into an international transit port.
