JALALABAD (Pajhwok): One civilian was killed and a security guard wounded on Wednesday when the vehicle carrying the finance and administrative head and the Surkhrod district chief was hit by an IED in Jalalabad on Wednesday morning, officials said.
Provincial officials said both officials survived the explosion but their vehicle was extensively damaged in the attack, the latest in a string of blasts in the eastern province.
The media office at the governor’s house said the incident occurred at around 10am near the Shah Burhan Agha shrine in the eighth police district of Jalalabad.
