PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The Russian president’s special envoy for Afghanistan arrived in Islamabad on Friday for talks with top Pakistaniofficials on Afghanistan. .
During his day-long trip, Ambassador Zamir Kabulov would meet Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq and other officials.
The two sides would exchange views on the latest developments in the Afghan peace process, the Foreign Office said in a statement.
Kabulov’s trip is part of Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach in support of the Afghan peace process and bringing Afghan leaders on a single platform.
The visitwould also contribute to further strengthening Pakistan-Russia bilateral cooperation in different fields, the statement added.
