KABUL (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot and killed four women aid workers in Pakistan’s North Waziristan district on Monday.
Pakistani media outlets reported that the incident took place in Tandar village of Shewa area near the Afghanistan border.
Local security officials told media representative that unidentified gunmen opened fire at a vehicle of a nongovernmental donor agency and shot dead four female staff and seriously wounded their driver.
Local residents wrote on social media platforms that the slain women worked for Sabawoon, a non-governmental donor agency, and helped women in creating handicrafts in the area.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident.
