KABUL (Pajhwok): Second vice-president Sarwar Danish on Monday said human rights should be one of the main subjects to be taken up with the Taliban in peace talks.
Sarwar Danish made these remarks during a meeting with Fiona Fries, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCHR) in Afghanistan, on Monday morning.
Danish said there were no signs the Taliban wanted to respect or protect those rights, and there was need for the international community and parties involved in the Afghan peace process to put pressure on the Taliban in this regard.
