AIBAK (Pajhwok): A nine-kilometer road was inaugurated after its completion in the town of Manqutan in northern Samangan province on Tuesday.
Governor Mohammad DawoodKalkani said at the inauguration ceremony that construction of 97 bridges were part of the road project.
Without mentioning the project cost, the governor said money for the road project, that took six months to complete, was paid by the German GIZ office.
The residents are happy with completion of the road.
Haji Khairullah, a resident of the area, said that construction of the road was one of their demands fulfilled. He said many facilities were created in the town as part of the road project.
