KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Wednesday announced registering 16 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours nationwide.
The ministry in a statement said 1,519 people underwent tests since Saturday and the virus was detected in 16 people, pushing the overall tally to 55,680.
The source said five cases were detected in Herat, four in Kabul, three in Kandahar, two in MiadanWardak, one each in Kunduz and Kapisa provinces.
The ministry said 119 individuals recovered from the pandemic during the past 24 hours, taking the recoveries to 49,086.
