KABUL (Pajhwok): The United States provided in aid the Afghan Ministry of Defense (MoD) with 640 military vehicles, a statement said on Wednesday.
The MoD in a statement said these vehicles were submitted to the ministry’s logistics command in a special ceremony held in this regard.
Shah Mahmood Miakhel, deputy defense minister, said capacity building of the Afghan National Army was a priority and the ANA would be upgraded with modern military equipment.
Abdullah Raqibi, MoD deputy logistics and technology chief, said the military equipment would be utilized to better ensure security of Afghanistan.
