KABUL (Pajhwok): Three relatives of a slain journalist have been killed in an armed attack on his residence in western Ghor province.
The house of Bismillah Adil, who was shot dead in the provincial capital Ferozkoh on January 1, came under attack late on Thursday night.
Adil’s brother was injured in the attack and as family members were evacuating to hospital, they also came under gunfire about eight kilometers from Ferozkoh, relatives said.
Adil’s brother, sister and nephew were killed and four others wounded in the attack by unidentified assailants.
Bismillah Adil was a senior journalist, civil society activist and head of Radio Sada-i-Ghor,.
Adil’s brother Lala Gul blamed the Taliban for the attack — an allegation rejected the rebel movement’s spokesman Qari Ahmad Yusuf.
