KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Security Council (NSC) on Thursday said the pulpits of mosques were for religious preaching and anyone who used them to destroy the system would be dealt with severely.
MaulviRahmatullahAndar, NSC spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the committee for the protection and security of religious scholars was met with National Security Advisor HamdullahMohib in the chair.
Security threats against religious scholars were assessed and discussed during the meeting.
He added security officials told the meeting in their reports that they had implemented special security measures for religious scholars who faced serious threat.
