JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Personnel of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) have arrested 19 alleged individuals in connection to targeted attacks, suicide explosions and bomb blasts, an official said on Sunday.
Among those detained are some individuals who had been freed from jail recently.
Governor Zia-ul-Haq Amarkhel said among detainees are Taliban Urban Network members who were involved in attacks in Jalalabad City.
He said recently released Taliban member Maulvi Habibullah also known as Khalid is leading this group that conducted attacks, carried out target killing in Jalalabad City.
He said one Kalashnikov, four pistols and two knives recovered from detainees.
Two Daesh members were also among arrested individual. They were preparing for suicide attacks.
