KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): A tribal elder was killed in a magnetic bomb blast in southern Zabul province on Monday, an official said.
Also a representative of the first security district of Qalat, the provincial capital, the elder was killed in Mizani area.
A source told Pajhwok Afghan News that Wakil Mohammad Sabir Tokhi was killed and another person was wounded in the blast.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, with the group spokesman QariYusufAhmadi saying Tokhi spied for the government and was killed in a landmine blast.
