KABUL (Pajhwok): Taliban Assistant Political Affairs Head Mullah Berather has stressed over the establishment of an inclusive Islamic government and said Doha Agreement could help resolve the problems of Afghanistan.
Addressing Moscow Conference on Afghanistan peace process, Berather asked international community particularly Afghanistan’s neighbours to help resolved existing Afghanistan’s problems and alleged Doha Agreement has not been fully implemented by the opposite side.
He said efforts should be made for the progress in intra-Afghan talks and existing hurdles should be removed.
Berather claimed the Taliban Islamic Emirate took over the country at the time of deep unrest and instability, adding that the international community besides cooperation and assistant imposed sanctions on them.
He recalled the Taliban offered dialogue and talks after the 9/11 attack but the US and their allies attacked Afghanistan and its people.
Berather again stressed the implementation of Doha Agreement, adding that some parts of the agreement had been implemented and resulted in the release of over 6,000 prisoners, start of intra-Afghan talks and reduction in violence.
“I believe if Doha Agreement is fully implemented Afghanistan’s problems would be fully resolved,” said Berather.
