5 people killed in Chahar Asyab district blast

KABUL (Pajhwok): Five people were killed in a blast in the Chahar Asyab district of Kabul province on Sunday, a well-placed security source said.

Police Spokesperson Firdos Faramarz said the blast happened on local uprising security personnel in the Lalandar locality.

He did not talk about casualties in the blast.

But a well-placed security source said the blast targeted Gen. Abdul Khalil Lalandari sons and grandsons. Five people were killed in the incident.

Gen. Abdul Khalil Lalandari is the head of local council in Lalandar locality.

Recently he held meeting with first vice president Saleh and discussed matters related to Lalandar water.

No group claimed responsibility for the blast
