LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Police in southern Helmand province have arrested 24 robbers in connection to 15 different incidents of robbery, an official said on Sunday.
Helmand Police Crime Branch Head Syed Abdul Ghafar Noori said police arrested 24 suspected criminals in the past one month.
“24 robbers are detained in connection to 15 different incidents and are currently being investigated.”
“A car, five motorcycles, 15 telephones, cash and some other tools recovered from the detainees,” he said.
Noori added the level of robbery in Lashkargah and other areas had declined and police were making efforts to eliminate crimes.
This comes at a time when the residents of Lashakargha had recently complained against growing incidents of robbery.
