Police officer among 10 killed in Colorado shooting

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 10 people, including a police officer, have been killed as a result of shooting at a supermarket in the Colorado city of the United States, media reports said on Tuesday.

The suspect has been taken into in custody, ANI quoted Boulder Police Chief Maris Heroldas saying.
“Our hearts go out to all families impacted. There are 10 fatalities. She (Herold) identified the slain police officer as Eric Talley, who was one of the first on the scene. She calls officer’s actions ‘heroic.’,” Boulder Police Department tweeted.

Authorities did not share any information on the type of the weapon used in the attack. Also, the motive behind the shooting is yet to be ascertained.

Earlier, CNN reported a shirtless man was seen taken from the supermarket, who appeared to be cuffed as police escorted him away.

The Boulder Police informed that a person of interest was in custody. “He was injured and is being treated for his injury.”
