Kabul cloth store fire causes financial losses

KABUL (Pajhwok): A fire erupted inside a cloth store in the Dasht-i-Barchi area of Kabul on Thursday morning, causing financial losses, an official said.

Police spokesman Firdos Faramarz told Pajhwok Afghan News the store of used clothes caught fire in limits of the 13^th police district at around 8:40am.

The blaze was extinguished after the arrival of firefighters, who managed to prevent it from spreading to nearby shops, he said.

The police spokesman added the fire caused no casualties, but resulted in financial losses. The cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained.

With an investigation underway, Faramarz promised sharing the outcome with media later on.
