KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Sixteen people were injured as a result of explosion in southeastern Khost province on Sunday, an official said.
Police Chief Mohammad Daud Amin said the blast happened after the explosives placed at a motorcycle went off this afternoon at around 01:00pm.
The blast occurred close to a gathering organized for the support of democracy in Mujahid square in Khost City, the provincial capital.
About 13 injured were shifted to provincial and private hospitals from the blast site.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombing.
