4 uprising men injured in Paktia blast

GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Four local uprising members were wounded in south eastern Paktia province while an individual was arrested with 14 weapons in northern Baghlan province, officials said on Sunday.

Police Spokesperson Lal Mohammad said four local uprising members were injured in a blast in the limits of first police districts of Gardez at around 11:30 am.

He said the injured had been shifted to the hospital and they were in stable condition.

In Baghlan, police arrested an individual with 14 weapons in Pul-i-Khumri, the provincial capital on Sunday.

Police Spokesperson Ahmad Javed Basharat said an individual was arrested alongside his weapons in Pul-i-Khumri.

“The weapons were hidden in a passenger vehicle cleverly, but police recovered them,” he said.
